Teaching

I am currently teaching Elementary Chinese and Intermediate Chinese together with other teachers in Northwestern University. We have very strong Chinese language programs. Some students who did not know Chinese at all before they enrolled the program could speak beautifully in standard tones and could write simple essays to describe things and express their feelings before the end of the first academic year. The actual time they took classes was less than nine months!

The message sent by them is encouraging: although Chinese is a difficult language to learn, it is not as difficult as you imagined as long as you are enrolled in a good program and work hard enough. So, please join the adventure of challenging the language and opening your eyes and heart to the one fifth world population.
